The Hotel Astra has been awarded an ECO Certification by the Malta Tourism Authority in November 2011.

The Hotel Astra is a relatively small hotel situated on Tower road on the Sliema promenade, which is one of Malta's most exclusive areas. The Astra enjoys a selection of 36 bedrooms and a total capacity of 100 beds in twin, triple and quad rooms, with twelve of the hotel rooms enjoying a balcony and views of the open sea and the Sliema promenade whilst another 9 rooms have a balcony with town views.

All Rooms at the Astra are very airy, large and enjoy plenty of light. All are equipped with Wi-Fi facilities, direct dial telephone, LCD T.V., ceiling fan and a bathroom with a shower cubicle. Breakfast is served dailay at the ground floor restaurant next to the reception lounge.

All Astra Hotel guests are entitled to use the facilites of the nearby Preluna Beach Club (against a nominal daily fee) or when not available the Sliema Aquatic Club (against a nominal daily fee). Both clubs enjoy a large salt water pool and ample sunbathing areas and offer the use of a sunbed and mattress and use of all other facilities such as changing rooms, umbrellas etc.
